Sant Seechewal declared to strengthen the Dhussi Bundh from Shahkot to Lohian Sultanpur lodhi, 2nd September The biggest breach that occurred at Janian Chahal in Dhussi Bundh during floods in river Sutlej has been filled today morning at 5 am.with the help of the people of Punjab and due to non stop efforts of Environment lover Sant Balbir Singh Seechewal This breach was about 175 mtr broad and about 13 mtr deep. The Chief Minister Captain Amrinder Singh himself was having watch to complete the work of this breach. The continuous joint hard work of the thousands of the people has brought the dividends. To fill this breach the army personal, Manrega workers, social welfare jathebandian and the youths from different districts of the state have worked without sleeping in the nights. The water stopped leaking from the breaches near village Janian Chahal today at 6 am when more than 300 mt noch was made under the leadership of Environment lover Sant Balbir Singh Seechewal Ji to mold the flow of river Sutlej. With this noch the flood water has receded in the flood affected areas and road transportation has started. Sant Seechewal told that the people of Punjab are so enthusiastic that they are reaching here with the soil trolleys from their areas. The selection of the Punjab team for taking part in the 8th Senior National Dragon Boat Race Championship to be held at Darbanga Patna  (Bihar) was done today at the Holy Kali Bein Sultanpur Lodhi. 31 boys and 21 girls were selected for this championship. This information was supplied by the Sant Seechewal Water sports centre coach Amandeep Singh Khehra. He told that this championship for both boys and girls in Bihar is going to be held from 31st August to 2nd September. He said that the trials for the selection of Punjab team for the boys and girls were held at Sant Seechewal water sports center Sultanpur lodhi. About 70 players from the whole Punjab took part in the trials. Among these 31 boys and 21 girls were selected. NGT team issue order to not to throw contaminated waters in the Holy Kali Bein

Monitoring Committee instructions  to fix the supply of drinking water upto 135 ltr Sultanpur lodhi, 1st August The Monitoring Committee made under National Green Tribunal has issued instructions to fix the drinking water supply per person per day upto 135 ltr. During the meeting held under the leadership of Retd Justice Pritam Pal Committee Chairman, a special meeting with the deputy Commissioners of Jalandhar and Kapurthala districts was held at circuit house to stop the waters of Beas and Sutlej from being polluted. Committee member Sant Balbir Singh Seechewal raising the question of excess supply of drinking water said that Basti Peerdad 50 MLD treatment plant was made to run upto year 2025 but it failed upto 2016. Because supply of drinking water is being given upto 350 ltr per person in place of 135 ltr per person. Due to which the contaminated waters problem can't be solved. Organic vegetables being grown up for the 550th samagams

Sultanpur lodhi, 24th July Renowned Environment lover Sant Balbir Singh Seechewal to held a meeting with the farmers of the area and motivated them to grow organic vegetables for the participating sangats during the Samagams in the forthcoming 550th prakash purb of Guru Nanak Dev Ji to be organised at the pious land of Sultanpur lodhi in November. On this occasion the farmers promised to grow Halwa, Kaddu, Gaajar, Palak, Toria etc in the land of one kanal to one acre.
