Contribution of Baba ji in the area of Education...
Let's try take part in these activities which is being run by Sant Seechewal Ji.
Enviornmental awareness from the
Sant Balbir Singh Seechewal is not
a saint with orthodox views. His ideas are modern and scientific. He says that
man should change with times. Charity is the crux of all religions and it is
the goal of all education and science and knowledge. The sense of charity is
the warp and woof of Baba Ji's life. In April 1999, a school was started in the
newly established building in
the precincts of
Nirmal Kuteya Seechewal.
The pass percentage of the school is higher than that of the Board.
Students are also inspired to take part in sports along with academic
education. Many of the students are state and national champions. On 27th May
1999, the occasion of the Death Anniversary of Sant Avtar Singh Ji, this school
was and formally inaugurated and named as Shri
Maan Sant Avtar Singh Ji Yadgari Mahavidyalya Seechewal. The school is now
affiliated to Punjab School Education Board. The number of students now is
about 400. A large number of poor, needy and orphan students are availing of
boarding and lodging facilities. In the morning assembly the students recite
Mool Mantra and after that they are taught santhya of Gurbani and serve the
langar themselves. Now Sant Avtar Singh Ji Yaadgari College Seechewal has been started
from the year 2005 with a view to impart higher and technical education to the
students of the backward area of Seechewal. During the academic session
(2006-07), the college introduced technical courses such as PGDCA, DCA,
Diploma in Stitching
and Tailoring, B.Sc. (Eco) for the poor and backward students of this
area. M.A. (Pbi.) was also started from this session. In academic session
(2007-08), the college was expanded to teach more new courses such as B.C.A.
Apart from this Diploma in Gurmat Sangeet has also been added to the list of
diplomas already being taught. In B.A. (Arts), new subjects of Music and
Religious Studies have been introduced. Sant Avtar Singh Ji Yaadgari College
Seechewal has got the status of Associate College in Guru Nanak Dev University
from the academic session of 2006-07. In Sultanpur Lodhi also, a free-of-cost
school has been opened for the children living in slums and cottages on the
roadsides. It has been named as "Nawan Nanakana Charitable School."
In this school, the students are provided with free clothing, soap, food, etc. not
to speak of free syllabus books, notebooks and stationery. No fees are taken.
The students are making their futures bright by studying in these educational
institutions organised by Ek Onkar Charitable Trust Seechewal. Apart from this,
the kar sewa of the Holy Bein is proving a means to promote awareness towards
environment among the students and teachers of schools and colleges of the
whole area. In the previous years the teachers of many schools brought their
students to the Holy Bein so that an
environmental awareness may be produced in them and they could be
inspired to keep their environment clean.
Baba Ji Teach the "MOOL Mantar" to School Student.
The Punjab like other states of India and the whole world
today is facing a great environmental crisis. Ground water level of Punjab is
depleting rapidly. All the natural water resources are polluted due to the
dumping of untreated and poisonous industrial and domestic wastage into them.
As a result of this, people at large are suffering from deadly diseases. Sant
Balbir Singh Singh Seechewal has devised "Seechewal model", a simple
pipe and pump formula, as an effective solution to this serious problem. It has
been implemented at many places including village Seechewal and Sultanpur
Lodhi. In fact it has been termed as 'Seechewal Model' by the Government of
India. It has been adopted as a model for cleaning the Ganga apart from other
rivers of India. Before this, the Government of India dwelled on the other
countries for assistance- financial as well as technical. After all such
efforts had failed, the need for searching alternatives…
The year 2019 will be a memorable
year because of the forthcoming 550th Prakash Purb of Guru Nanak Dev Ji on 12th
November. The gursangats are waiting eagerly for the Samagams to be celebrated
during this year. 500th Prakash Purb of Guru nanak Dev Ji the founder of the
Sikh religion was celebrated in Sultanpur Lodhi in 1969 and there have been lot
of changes during 50 years to this Prakash Purab. During these 50 years the
downfall in the environment is the biggest challenge. These 50 years, human
development has played with the nature to such extent that big changes can be
seen from hill peaks to to the oceans. Means due to global warming the snow
laden peaks of the hills have melted and the increase in the level of the sea,
many islands in the low lying areas have drowned in the sea. If such behavior
continues then low lying nations will become prey to the sea. These are the big
changes which are visible in the world and its affect is also visible. During
these 50 years, what the Pun…
Mostly the stray animals become the cause of
accidents on the roads. Many valuable lives have been lost due to accidents
happening due to stray animals. After all it is a big question that why these
milk yielding cows come in the class of stray animals. Until a cow yields milk
it is kept in the house and is well served. When it stops yielding milk it is
stealthily left on the road to wander. The stray cows have become a big problem
but no proper alternative for it is found. To give relief to the historical
city Sultanpur lodhi from the stray cows, Sant Balbir Singh Seechewal has made an
effort to take care of the stray cows. Started with one stray cow in 2010 Avtar
Gau Shala has now more than 150 cows, those left out by the people. Now these
cows are milk yielding. The sangats are
whole heartedly serving these animals with feed, straw and parali. To save
these animals from cold, the sheds with modern facilities have been made.
