Floods bring havoc and disaster in Kerala 

The torrential rains and floods have made the life of the people in Kerala quite miserable. Life has gone stand still. Due to excessive rain in Kerala the dams are overflowing. Due to which the flood gates of the dams have to be opened. Due to unauthorized possessions and non-cleanliness in the rivers, water over flowed from them which affected the nearby villages and towns also with flooded waters. A resident of Aloppuzha Mr Jerry while talking to Seechewal Times said that the people in the villages have been sitting on their roof tops of their houses for the last 7 days. 

 

Their movement has totally stopped they usually drink well water but now flood water has entered in the wells and it has gone non drinkable. Here are the pictures Sent by Jerry that states the present position.

He said that Govt, army and other organizations are continuously engaged in helping the victims. Today’s  reports states that 3ft  of flood water in Kerala has receded and people are coming out of their housed, they have got some relief. The relief from rains is also expected.
