explaining the havoc of poisonous substances being thrown in the Sutlej river
These pictures are
from Rajinder Singh Sekhon of village Dharang Tehsil Abohar of district
Fazalwal. He thought that they should know the affect of poisonous waters of
Sutlej that come to their villages through canals and its affect on the
residents. When they did the survey of the village minutely then 33 children
were found with feeble minds out of the village with 3200 voters strength.
Especially the parents of these feeble minds children were quite demoralised.

ਇਹ ਫੋਟੋਆਂ ਰਜਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਸੇਖੋਂ ਦੇ ਪਿੰਡ ਧਰਾਂਗ ਵਾਲਾ ਤਹਿਸੀਲ ਅਬੋਹਰ ਜਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਫਾਜਿਲਕਾ ਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ। ਉਹਨਾਂ ਸੋਚਿਆ ਕਿ ਪਤਾ ਕਰੀਏ ਕਿ ਸਤਲੁਜ ਤੋਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਇਲਾਕੇ ਵੱਲ ਆ ਰਹੀਆਂ ਨਹਿਰਾਂ ਵਿਚਲੇ ਪੈ ਰਹੇ ਜ਼ਹਿਰੀਲੇ ਪਾਣੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਪਿੰਡ ਤੇ ਕੀ ਅਸਰ ਹੈ? ਜਦੋਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਬਾਰੀਕੀ ਨਾਲ ਪਿੰਡ ਦਾ ਸਰਵੇ ਕੀਤਾ ਤਾਂ ਦੇਖਿਆ ਕਿ ੩੨੦੦ ਵੋਟਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਪਿੰਡ ਵਿਚ ੩੩ ਬੱਚੇ ਮੰਦਬੁੱਧੀ ਮਿਲੇ। ਇਹਨਾਂ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਵਿਚ ਖਾਸ ਕਰ ਮੰਦਬੁੱਧੀ ਬੇਟੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਮਾਪੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਮਾਯੂਸ ਹਨ। ਇਹਨਾਂ ਮੰਦਬੁੱਧੀ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਪੂਰੇ ਵੇਰਵੇ ਅਤੇ ਤਸਵੀਰਾਂ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਹਨ।
