5.50 lacs of plants are ready at Sant Avatar Singh Yaadgari Nursery

Adopt 'Rukh' and make the Punjab lush green

In order to give boost to the campaign of making the Punjab lush green by the Environment Lover Padma Shree Sant Seechewal Ji, it has been made digital. An App 'Rukh' has been launched to deliver the plants free of cost at Sant Avatar Singh Yaadgari Nursery Seechewal. The people have given a good response to this campaign to make the Punjab lush green. Till now 20000 plants have been booked through this App and out of which 10000 plants have been distributed. This app called Rukh has been downloaded more than 1000.

'Rukh' Apnao-Punjab Haria-Bharia Banao', publicity is being done with this slogan. Registration in advance is to be done for this App. Then the plants are to be booked according to the variety of the plants. Then after doing so a message through mobile is received that when and how much plants can be taken. This message also conveys that from which nursery the plants can be taken. About 5.50 lacs of plants are ready at Sant Avatar Singh Yaadgari Nursery.

The recipient organizations and individuals of these plants have to intimate the locations and sites, where the received plants are planted.

Giving information about this App Sewadar Gurwinder Singh Boparai told that the main purpose of this campaign is to reinstall the eloped traditional and heritage trees and reinstatement of the glory of the villages of Punjab. Under this App a campaign in the name of 'Meri Nursery' is also being started. Through which people can nurture the plants at their houses and contribute towards this great service.

The record of the plantation in every village will also be maintained. The information about nurturing, distribution and preservation of the plants will be also available through this App. Due to corona pandemic and to continue these tasks the need has arisen to make some important changes. Along with plantation and preservation of the plants the registration for the 'Environment Education 'will also be made. Through it the youth will be made aware of the environment preservation education and employment connected information. There will be a tiny effort to prepare the caretakers of the environment.
