Had a brief study of the Seechewal Model and of natural farming

More than 40 farsighted farmers of Faridkot district made a tour of village Seechewal to acquire a brief knowledge of the Seechewal Model and of the natural farming.

The farmers delegation under the leadership of Amandeep Singh Kaishav Project Director Aatma Faridkot met Sant Balbir Singh Seechewal Ji at Nirmal Kutiya Seechewal. Sant Seechewal Ji told them that every drop of contaminated water of village Seechewal after treatment is being used for farming since 1999. With that the dream of natural farming is also being matured and the fertilizers expenses for the farmers are also being lessened. The village also has gone pollution free for ever.

On this occasion Sant Ji inspired the farmers to do joint and natural farming.

He said that since a decade the pulses, vegetables and fruits for the on going Guru Ka Langars are being prepared through natural farming. Heritage plants from the Sant Avatar Singh Nursery were also given to the farmer's delegation as prashad.

The farmers also studied the Punjab's first village level treatment plant based on Seechewal Model.

On this occasion Rattan Singh Sodhi Facilitator Faridkot, Bhupesh Joshi Deputy Project Director Aatma Faridkot, Yadwinder Singh Block Technology manager Sultanpur Lodhi, Ravinder Singh, Sukhpal Singh, Lovdeep Sharma,Sukhdeep Singh, Jasdeep Singh and the farmers of different villages of Faridkot were also present.
