8th anniversary of the Punjab's first Avtar Community Radio in the villages, was celebrated at Nirmal Kutiya Sultanpur Lodhi. On this occasion the dignitaries connected with the Media participated and praised the role being played by the Avtar Radio towards environment. Senior journalist Jatinder Singh Pannu told that there has been much disaster in the name of development. He said that today enough has been destroyed to gain profits. He said where Environment Lover Sant Balbir Singh Seechewal has shown way to Punjab and the nation by cleaning the Holy Bein of Baba Nanak, there also the Avtar Radio has been running successfully for the last 8 years. He said that the radio still today is the best source of communication. Sh. Pannu said that with the 40 years development we have destroyed our culture along with the environment of the Punjab. He said that we worship Baba Nanak but we don't follow his preaching's.
On this occasion Environment lover Padma Shree Sant Balbir Singh Seechewal Ji advised the people to be connected with the nature and its creator. It's only the solution of our all problems.
The first director of Avtar Radio Harpreet Singh Kahlon said that still today it's a challenge to do quality journalism.
On this occasion renowned writer Prof. Asa Singh Ghuman said that there has been a revolutionary changes in the villages due to Avtar Radio. This radio runs 24 hrs and much of the time is given to environment. People have become aware of the environment due to the relay of the program on the radio being done by the children.
