A Ceremonial start to celebrate the forthcoming 550th prakash purb samagams  of Guru nanak Dev Ji has been done with a Nagar Kirtan starting from Seechewal reaching Sultanpur lodhi. Gursangats in great number participated in the Nagar Kirtan that started from Seechewal under the patronage of Guru Granth Sahib Ji and was led by Panj Pyare. Warm welcome was accorded to the gursangats participating in the Nagar Kirtan by the villagers everywhere. During whole period of the Nagar Kirtan, Environment lover Sant Balbir Singh Seechewal connected the people with Gurbani. He said that the farmers those follow the principles of Guru Nanak Dev Ji have not burnt their parali. He also thanked those farmers for not burning the Parali. He said that the bani included in Guru Granth Sahib Ji confirm the collaboration of human beings with the nature.
    He said that the 449th Gurpurab of Guru Nanak Dev Ji is going to be celebrated on 23rd November and today's Nagar Kirtan is a start to the 550th Prakash Purb samagams celebrations on large scale. To welcome this Nagar Kirtan, special gates dedicated to 550th prakash purb have been made in every village.
 Special attraction of this Nagar Kirtan dedicated to bani of Baba Nanak was that a message was being given through exhibition to save the environment by keeping Air, Water and Earth clean.
 This Nagar Kirtan starting from Seechewal and passing through Malla, Sohal Khalsa, Talwandi Madho, Ahmed Pur, Sherpur Dona, Maniala and Fauji Colony  reached Sultanpur lodhi. In the pious city, going through Gurdwara Antaryamta and Gurdwara Ber Sahib and along side Holy Kali Bein it reached Nirmal Kuteya. Sant Daya Singh Ji, Sant Amrik Singh Ji Khukhrain, Sant Gurmej Singh Saidrana and other religious dignitaries were also present.

The team of Sant Avtar Singh Gatka Akhara displayed the gatka activities under the leadership of Gurwinder Kaur. The students of Sant Avtar Singh Yadgari School and college also participated with the banners in their hands giving the environment message.
